Job summary

Al Rostamani Group's Emirates Electrical Engineering division seeks a Draughtsman (EPLAN/ELCAD) to produce accurate electrical schematics, panel layouts and BOMs for turnkey power projects in the UAE.

You will translate engineering concepts into detailed drawings, maintain version control, and collaborate with designers, project managers and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with IEC/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Equivalent proven experience will be considered.
• Minimum 2-3 years as a draughtsman in heavy electrical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop GA, layout and assembly drawings for control panels and sub-assemblies.
• Prepare fabrication drawings for sheet metal components and busbar systems.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN.
• Generate and maintain device tags, cable schedules and BOMs.
• Ensure drawings comply with IEC, NFPA and company standards.
• Update drawings with engineering changes and maintain version control.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers and production teams.
