Job summary

Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC is seeking a Draughtsman (EPLAN/ELCAD) in Dubai to develop GA, layout, and detailed electrical drawings for control panels and sub-assemblies. You will create schematics and BOMs, ensuring alignment with IEC/NFPA standards and project requirements.

The role requires 2–3 years’ experience and strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, EPLAN/ELCAD). Opportunities exist in a busy, safety‑driven environment with design, project, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC/HND).
• 2–3 years of experience as a draughtsman in a control panel, switchgear, enclosure fabrication, or related heavy electrical manufacturing environment.
• Technical Proficiency (Mandatory): 2D/3D CAD software; AutoCAD and EPLAN/ELCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop GA, layout, and assembly drawings for control and protection panels.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for sheet metal components, mounting plates, sub-panels, and busbar systems.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, termination drawings, and panel layouts using EPLAN.
• Generate and maintain device tags, cable schedules, terminal diagrams, and BOMs.
• Ensure drawings comply with IEC, NFPA, and company standards.
• Update drawings with engineering changes and maintain version control.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and production teams to translate designs into manufacturable drawings.
• Optimize component placement and panel layouts for accessibility, maintainability, and thermal performance.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into final drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control.
