Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef (I) for Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, located in Dubai. The role involves helping our culinary team with day-to-day prep, mise-en-place, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality across service periods.

The ideal candidate has culinary school training and experience in a restaurant or 4/5* hotel setting, with a commitment to delivering top-quality meals.

Qualifications

• Culinary school training or equivalent formal culinary education.
• Experience in a restaurant or 4/5* hotel preferred.
• Commitment to high-quality food and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place for daily operations.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in line with safety standards.
• Assist senior kitchen staff with food prep and service.
• Support with storage and stock management.
• Communicate issues to supervisor and teammates.
• Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
• Prepare food, beverage, and equipment for service.
• Clean and reset work area and assist with related duties.
• Follow hotel and department regulations (health, hygiene, grooming, quality).
