Miral Experiences in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned Entertainment Technical Lead to plan and execute technical setups for live events, manage AVL systems, and coordinate a large team of technicians. You will ensure safety, compliance, and smooth operations for park performances and productions.

Your role includes supervising contractors, maintaining show control systems, and driving technical excellence in a fast-paced entertainment environment within the Miral portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network maintenance and operation.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the technical manager to plan and execute technical setups for live events performances or shows.
• Operate and maintain audio visual and lighting equipment during rehearsals and live productions; troubleshoot issues to minimize disruption.
• Supervise and coordinate technical support staff including technicians and stage technicians; coach team members for efficient operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure technical operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements; ensure RAMS are up to date.
• Supervise a team of technical specialists and provide guidance to foster a high-performing team.

Job description

ROLE SCOPE

• Technical Coordination Collaborate with the technical manager to plan and execute technical setups for live events performances or shows Assist in coordinating equipment and resource allocation to meet production requirements Liaise with stakeholders for any technical requirements and concerns Create a monthly schedule for the Entertainment Technical team Liaise and coordinate work to be performed by contractors or vendors
• Equipment Operation Operate and maintain audio visual and lighting equipment during rehearsals and live productions Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise ensuring minimal disruption to the performance Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed during shows and park operations
• Team Support Assist in the supervision and coordination of technical support staff including technicians and stage Technicians Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient operations Recommend and offer suggestions for the improvement of the Technical Team
• Safety and Compliance Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of all performers and crew Assist in ensuring that all technical operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements Able to create and review the RAMS Making sure that Entertainment Technical safety certificates are up to date
• Team Leadership Supervise a team of technical specialists including technicians engineers and stage technicians Provide guidance coaching and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Essential Related Technical Qualifications e g Theater Production Electrical Engineering IT networking or similar or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years experience in Audio Video Lighting Show control amp network Maintenance and operation 2 years Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network The knowledge of operating of Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must Keen interest in technology Familiar with latest technologies and implementation Proven ability in troubleshooting Problem solving skills Able to adhere to strict timelines Clear understanding of both written and spoken English Computer skills Ability to understand one line drawings and schematics Able to spend long hours standing if required Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them Ability to lift at least 25 kg Ability to manage a large team of 30
• Desirable Electronics or Electrical Certificate Engineering or college diploma Previous experience in working within the amusement park industry is an advantage Preferably worked in live shows and events Operated audio and lighting systems for live entertainment Component repairs of audio lighting and video equipment People person who works well alone and as part of a larger team Self-motivated and wants to get the job done Knowledge of show automation and digital signal processing is an advantage Has system integration and design knowledge
• Miral Experiences Essential: Related Technical Qualifications (e.g., Theater Production, Electrical Engineering, IT networking or similar) or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network Maintenance and operation. 2+ years Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network. The knowledge of operating of Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must. Keen interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation.
