Miral Experiences in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled Technical Coordinator to plan and execute live-event tech setups. You will coordinate AVL systems, show control, and network maintenance while supervising technicians and contractors during rehearsals and performances.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, safety awareness, and English communication to ensure seamless productions across park operations.

Qualifications

• Related technical qualifications or equivalent experience in live events/entertainment tech.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in AVL, show control & network maintenance and operation.
• 2+ years’ experience installing AVL systems and show control networks.
• Strong English written and spoken communication; ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical setups for live events in coordination with the technical manager.
• Coordinate equipment and resources to meet production requirements; liaise with stakeholders.

ROLE SCOPE

Technical Coordination

• Collaborate with the technical manager to plan and execute technical setups for live events, performances, or shows.
• Assist in coordinating equipment and resource allocation to meet production requirements.
• Liaise with stakeholders for any technical requirements and concerns.
• Create a monthly schedule for the Entertainment Technical team.
• Liaise and coordinate work to be performed by contractors or vendors

Equipment Operation

• Operate and maintain audio, visual, and lighting equipment during rehearsals and live productions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the performance.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed during shows and park operations.

Team Support

• Assist in the supervision and coordination of technical support staff, including technicians and stage Technicians
• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Recommend and offer suggestions for the improvement of the Technical Team.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well‑being of all performers and crew.
• Assist in ensuring that all technical operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Able to create and review the RAMS.
• Making sure that Entertainment Technical safety certificates are up to date.

Team Leadership

• Supervise a team of technical specialists, including technicians, engineers, and stage technicians.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to foster a collaborative and high‑performing team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• Related Technical Qualifications (e.g. Theater Production, Electrical Engineering, IT networking or similar) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network Maintenance and operation.
• 2+ years’ Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network.
• The knowledge of operating of Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must.
• Keen interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting.
• Problem solving skills.
• Able to adhere to strict timelines.
• Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to understand one line drawings and schematics.
• Able to spend long hours standing if required.
• Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them.
• Ability to lift at least 25 kg.
• Ability to manage a large team of 30.

Desirable:

• Electronics or Electrical Certificate.
• Engineering or college diploma
• Previous experience in working within the amusement park industry is an advantage.
• Preferably worked in live shows and events
• Operated audio and lighting systems for live entertainment
• Component repairs of audio, lighting, and video equipment.
• People person who works well alone and as part of a larger team.
• Self-motivated and wants to get the job done.
• Knowledge of show, automation, and digital signal processing is an advantage.
• Has system integration and design knowledge.
