Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Computing, Information Technology or a related field, UAE equivalency.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as a Teaching Diploma, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent licensure.
• For non-native English speakers, IELTS 5.5 is required.
• Preference for Academic Year 2025 availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich expertise in ICT teaching.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to learning standards and grade-specific requirements.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to reinforce topics.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Plan long- and short-term activities addressing student needs.
• Prepare students for required assessments.
• Prepare quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment.
• Engage in effective classroom management.
• Accept feedback from administrative staff.
• Advise students, organize advisory groups, and monitor progress.
• Support ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties as deemed by the Principal.

Job Purpose

To teach and educate students in ICT subjects according to their individual educational needs, abilities, and potential. To inspire and support each student in reaching their academic goals through engaging, personalised, and forward-thinking instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich their expertise in the subject area they will teach.
• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students.
• Prepare students adequately for all required assessments.
• Prepare at least quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment.
• Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Serve as an advisor to a students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioural progress.
• Supports with implementing the ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Computing, Information Tecnnology or a related field- properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification - such as a Teaching Diploma, PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent licensure from your home country.
• For non-native English speakers - a valid IELTS of 5.5.
• Preference will be given to candidates available to join for Academic Year 2025.

Experience

• Secondary or Cycle 2 teaching experience is a must.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience as a Teacher.
