Fisher Human Resource Consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and draughtsmen for EPC projects.

You will ensure designs are technically sound and compliant with international standards (ASME, ISO, API), align with schedules and budgets, mentor engineers, optimize material selection, support construction with technical clarifications, and promote a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and MS Project.
  • 15-20 years in Mechanical EPC projects within Oil, Gas, or Power.
  • Broad knowledge of E&C methodology, QA/QC, and inspection & test methods.
  • Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and best practice engineering and construction techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver complex EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of design codes and engineering software tools.
  • Professional engineering society memberships.
  • Experience in optimizing engineering efficiency and cost-effective design solutions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and draughtsmen. The role involves delivering detailed engineering and design for EPC projects, including Tanks, Pressure Vessel Manufacturing, Piping Systems, Electrical & Instrumentation, and Civil Works. The manager ensures engineering deliverables are technically sound, compliant with international standards, aligned with project schedules, and optimized.

Oversee end-to-end engineering processes to ensure projects are executed according to design, schedule, and budget.

Monitor productivity and outputs during tender and engineering phases, optimizing discipline interfaces to prevent discrepancies or clashes during construction.

Provide engineering support during construction, including technical clarifications, change follow-ups, and onsite issue resolution.

Ensure adoption of Best Practice Engineering, optimize material selection, and maintain cost-effective designs.

Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and international standards (ASME, ISO, API, ASNT).

Maintain and enhance the department’s knowledge base, keeping up to date with innovations and best practices.

Develop and mentor engineering talent through guidance, training, and professional society engagement.

Promote safety culture and ensure strict compliance with EHS procedures, rules, and regulations.

Report departmental performance, tender evaluation progress, and engineering deliverables to senior management.
