Job summary

Alfanar is seeking a production planning and process improvement engineer in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on planning daily production, coordinating WIP, and driving continuous improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.

The candidate will provide engineering support for production and maintenance, implement 5S practices, ensure quality and safety compliance, and stay updated on latest production processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Accountability Areas

Production Planning and Coordination:

• Plan and coordinate daily production processes to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products.
• Monitor and control Production Work in Progress (WIP) and sub-store inventory.

Process Improvement:

• Lead efforts to improve processes, optimizing equipment and materials for increased production efficiency.
• Provide essential engineering support for production and maintenance activities to maintain operational efficiency.

Production Evaluation and Recommendations:

• Assess ongoing production activities and offer recommendations for improvements.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and suggest effective solutions.

Cost Reduction and Quality Standards:

• Implement initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop clear operating instructions and equipment specifications for streamlined production.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and guidance to team members, supporting their growth and contributing to production goals.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

• Formulate and implement best practices to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability.
• Participate in 5S processes and procedures, collaborating with the safety in-charge.
• Stay updated on product specifications, engineering technology, and the latest production processes.
