Job summary
ACWA Power seeks a Proposal Engineer to support sales and business development by preparing comprehensive proposals for service-related projects across the fleet. The role involves data extraction, template preparation, cost estimation, and collaboration with engineering and commercial teams to align with RFQ and tender requirements.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 7+ years in proposal engineering within the energy sector, and strong technical drawing interpretation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years in proposal engineering or related roles in energy.
- Strong knowledge of energy systems including power generation and distribution.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specs and contracts.
- Familiar with proposal management software and CRM tools; travel occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical proposals with scope, limits, manpower and equipment.
- Estimate costs, timelines and risks from RFQ and specs.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain and PM teams.
- Support negotiations with technical expertise and client inquiries.
- Attend customer meetings and site visits to gather project data.
