Job summary

Mercom is seeking an experienced Public Relations and Communications Account Executive to support our rapidly growing clean energy practice in the MENA market. This is a remote, contract position based in Dubai, ideal for professionals seeking a full-time role while working with an established global communications agency.

We are looking for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about energy and technology.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of PR or communications experience in energy sectors.
Experience working with journalists in MENA energy media outlets.
Strong Arabic and English writing skills.
Agency experience preferred; ability to work independently with international teams.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day client and project management, driving work forward.
Develop, execute, and manage PR and media outreach plans across channels.
Identify media opportunities and build relations with journalists in energy/tech.
Create press releases, pitch letters, articles, social copy, and talking points.
Monitor MENA energy news to surface proactive outreach opportunities.
Secure media placements, speaking roles, and conference opportunities.
Collaborate with Mercom’s global communications teams to align messaging.
Participate in virtual meetings and provide progress updates.
