Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority.
• Hold and maintain an American Heart Association BLS Provider card.
• Post-graduate specialist qualification, diploma, degree or masters in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a learning culture amongst nurses in the specialist field.
• Be an expert registered nurse with advanced education, training or certification in the specialty.
• Be a role model and improve safety and quality of care in the specialist field.
• Be a member of the interprofessional team as a subject matter expert.
• Support and lead audit and data collection for KPIs and benchmarking.
• Support the nurse educator with training programs and needs analysis.
• Educate patients and the public about health conditions and provide support to families.
• Assess and identify patient needs and implement the medical plan and treatment.
• Perform systematic patient assessment and data collection.
• Understand data, determine nursing diagnoses, and define outcomes.
• Create and evaluate patient care plans with the team and patient involvement.
• Maintain and update clinical skills and promote a safe environment.
• Understand diagnostics and laboratory examinations; perform life support tasks as required.
• Assist in invasive or non-invasive procedures as needed and support admissions/discharges.
