Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City – SSMC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Consultant Physician to lead and supervise the delivery of evidence-based care, while setting clinical standards and training junior medical staff. The post holder will oversee clinical activities, ensure policy adherence and support performance management.

Applicants should hold Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications, possess a current national license, and provide CME documentation.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 qualification or higher with at least 2 years relevant consultant experience.
• Tier 2 qualification with 8+ years full-time consultant experience in internationally accredited institutes.
• Current national license or equivalent.
• Certified proof of yearly CME.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise delivery of high-quality evidence-based care.
• Diagnose, manage and treat patients per established standards.
• Provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.
• Participate in performance management and peer-review processes.
• Attend divisional meetings and ensure adequate medical coverage.

Education

Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualification
