Job summary

HSBC is seeking an EWS Advisor to drive acquisition and service for assigned companies within our UAE network. You will work with the EWS CAM and Loan Specialist to expand relationships and deliver tailored banking solutions for corporate employees.

The role emphasizes new business generation, collaborating across Wealth, International Banking, and Private Banking, while adhering to compliance standards and delivering excellent customer service.

  • Be the first contact for employees of assigned companies to fulfill banking needs across acquisitions, revolving, and borrowing referrals.
  • Collaborate with Corporate, EWS CAM and EWS Loan Specialist to improve engagement and penetration with approved companies.
  • Provide a holistic view of HSBC capabilities across Wealth, International Banking, and Private Banking; refer to the right teams.
  • Encourage companies to use HSBC Financial Wellbeing sessions across their employees.
  • Meet Group compliance and internal control standards with zero tolerance for misconduct.
  • Build high standards of customer service, efficiency, and productivity.

EWS Advisor is responsible for maintaining sufficient number of activities in order to deliver outcomes in line with the IWPB strategy through a need based selling approach (EDRAS), acquisition of quality business & driving excellent customer service. The EWS advisor will work closely with the EWS CAM (Corporate Account Manager) to drive improved penetration only within c.800 EWS companies and improve HSBC market share. They will also work with the EWS Loan specialist and refer all borrowing customers through a structured referral process. They will be responsible to manage customer expectation through service clinics, open days, regular meetings and improved engagement with the company in making HSBC the preferred banking partner.

In this role, you will:
  • Meeting performance expectations primarily across Acquisitions and Revolving in addition to non-financial KPIs.
  • Be the first point of contact for the employees of assigned companies for fulfilling banking needs across Acquisitions, Revolving and referring Borrowing needs (Personal loan and Mortgage).
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from Corporate, EWS CAM, EWS Loan Specialist to drive improved engagement and penetration with these approved companies.
  • Ensure there is a holistic view of HSBC capabilities shared with the customer across Wealth, International Banking Corridors, Private Banking/, and ensure proper referrals are made to the respective business.
  • Drive and encourage companies to utilize our Financial wellbeing sessions across their employees
  • Meet Group standards of Compliance and internal controls with zero tolerance of misconduct
  • Build high standards of customer service, efficiency and expected level of productivity
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Complete understanding of the IWPB products, propositions and services, including the global service standards, and the ability to communicate this effectively to customers
  • Experience in dealing with emerging affluent and affluent customer in proposing product and services
  • Adept of developing a networking strategy and proven ability to achieve activity and outcome goals
  • Knowledge of competitor activity, propositions and offers
  • Ability to manage high network clients
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Effective / seamless handover of customer relationships to those with appropriate skills to manage them

  • A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE
