Job Overview
The Emiratization Specialist is responsible for overseeing the effective operation and development of the Nextcare Emiratization program. The incumbent leads Nextcare in championing corporate initiatives and human resource management practices that facilitate strategies geared at the recruitment, development, and retention of UAE local human capital. The Specialist works closely with the EXCOM Team, government stakeholders, Ministry of Human Resources, Central Bank of UAE, NAFIS, and college/university directors to set and achieve targets.
What You Do
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of Nextcare's strategic Emiratisation program.
- Achieve Emiratisation obligation within the set time frame.
- Formulate Emiratisation budgets, goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Assist the company in applying for and receiving monthly pension rebates from the government.
- Participate in the review of Nextcare regulations, policies, and procedures to identify and reduce barriers for UAE National employment.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and disseminate appropriate Emiratisation policies and procedures, and advise internal stakeholders on their proper application.
- Work closely with the Human Resources recruitment team to prioritize UAE National recruitment and development programs.
- Identify positions and departments to be filled by UAE nationals.
- Advise on UAE National employee relations issues.
- Ensure effective management and development of staff through participation in Emirati promotion selection.
- Carry out any other duty or reasonable request to support the needs of the business.
- Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover among Emirati nationals.
- Ensure compliance with Emiratisation quotas and regulations mandated by the government.
- Stay updated on changes in Emiratisation policies and regulations and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and track the progress of Emirati employees in their development.
- Identify skill gaps among Emirati employees and create training and development programs to bridge these gaps.
- Ensure the success of critical Emiratisation development programs such as the Emirati Graduate Program and Internship Learning Program.
- Promote and facilitate participation of the company and Emirati staff in national and international awards and competitions (e.g., NAFIS, GSS Emiratisation Award), showcasing achievements and contributing to the recognition of both the organization and Emirati talent on a broader scale.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's Degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years spent in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Previous experience in Emiratisation programs.
- Fit to carry out duties.
- Legally permitted to work in the country of operations.
- No travel restrictions.
