Job summary

Simone's Tutoring is seeking an International Academic Competitions Tutor to coach gifted students for local and international contests. This freelance role offers deep subject coaching across math, science, coding, and more, with a focus on mastery, speed, and competition readiness.

Responsibilities include assessing student strengths, creating tailored plans, and delivering advanced one-to-one or small-group sessions, readying learners for Olympiads and similar events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring academically advanced students.
• Strong subject expertise in at least one competition area.
• Familiarity with advanced problem-solving and competition-style assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ strengths, competition experience, and preparation needs.
• Develop personalised competition-preparation plans based on timelines.
• Deliver advanced one-to-one or small-group coaching in the tutor’s subject.
• Prepare students for national, regional, and international competitions.
• Teach advanced concepts, strategies, time management, and problem-solving techniques.
• Use past papers, challenge questions, simulations, and mock rounds.
