Job summary

DMC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Elevator Adjuster to contribute to installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of elevator systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The role emphasizes adjusting operating parameters, testing safety devices, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, while coordinating with project teams, clients, and inspectors to deliver safe, reliable elevator solutions.

Qualifications

• Industrial Training Institute/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience as an Elevator Adjuster or in elevator testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical layout drawings, schematics, and technical documents
• Hands-on experience in installing, adjusting, testing, and commissioning various elevator systems
• Knowledge of elevator safety standards, testing procedures, and commissioning processes
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams, clients, and consultants

Responsibilities

• Adjust and test critical operating parameters, including speed, acceleration, leveling, braking, and door operations
• Test all safety control devices, including emergency stops, alarm bells, and governors, to ensure elevators comply with safety regulations and building codes
• Prepare inspection reports and field test data to verify compliance with required standards
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions during the final testing and commissioning phase
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to understand system components and perform accurate adjustments
• Perform final electrical connections, integrate elevator systems with building management networks, and complete the final installation process
• Support project teams during third-party inspections, client inspections, and consultant approvals
