Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department is seeking an Electrician to operate, maintain and repair all electrical systems in line with Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental's standards to achieve optimum quality.

As part of a luxury property with a private beach, marina, and 390 rooms and suites, you will work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in luxury properties; resort experience is a plus.
• Diploma / ITI in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Familiarity with hotel engineering operations and preventive maintenance systems.
• Good communication skills and guest-oriented service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attend to electrical systems operation and maintenance work as required.
• Carry out equipment preventive and routine maintenance.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support.

About the job Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department the Electrician is responsible for operating maintaining and repairing all aspects of the electrical system in accordance with Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental s standards to achieve optimum product quality standards The Electrician reports to the Electrical Engineer

As an Electrician you will be responsible for the following duties

• Attends to electrical systems operation and maintenance work as required
• Carries out equipment preventive and routine maintenance
• Responds to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt of the same
• Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair
• Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public area
• Ensures that the workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition
• Observes prescribed safety standards
• Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions promotions and festivities
• Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized technical support
• Follow Supervisors instructions in line with job requirements
• Adhere to all security and safety instructions
• Demonstrate commitment to uncompromising standards of excellence

As an Electrician, we expect from you:

• Previous experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus
• Diploma / ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals
• Familiarity with hotel engineering operations and preventive maintenance systems
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a guest-oriented environment
