Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking an Electrician to join the Engineering Department. You will maintain and repair electrical systems to meet the hotel’s luxury standards, while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

Based at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, you will work in shifts and collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver exceptional service in a five-star environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Familiarity with hotel engineering operations and preventive maintenance systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a guest-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Attends to electrical systems operation and maintenance work as required.
• Carries out equipment preventive and routine maintenance.
• Responds to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt.
• Ensures workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety standards and excellent service.
• Interacts with other departments to provide specialized technical support.

About the job

Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department, the Electrician is responsible for operating maintaining and repairing all aspects of the electrical system, in accordance with Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental’s standards to achieve optimum product quality standards. The Electrician reports to the Electrical Engineer.

As an Electrician, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Attends to electrical systems operation and maintenance work as required


• Carries out equipment preventive and routine maintenance


• Responds to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt of the same


• Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair


• Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public area


• Ensures that the workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition


• Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others


• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.


• Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities


• Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized technical support


• Follow Supervisors instructions in line with job requirements


• Adhere to all security and safety instructions


• Demonstrate commitment to uncompromising standards of excellence


• Work as a team with all other departments in their effort to delight the guest

As an Electrician, weexpectfrom you:

• Previous experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus


• Diploma / ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification
