Job summary

PETROCOAT TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC in Dubai seeks an Operation Engineer specializing in Industrial Automation and LV Switchgear. You will lead day-to-day operations, coordinate with clients and teams, and supervise installation and commissioning of LV switchgear panels, MCCs, and control systems.

Ideal candidate holds a Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer certification with 5–7 years of UAE/GCC experience, and is adept at regulatory compliance, risk management, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering required.
• Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer certification is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in operations, project execution, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems in the UAE/GCC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of electrical, automation, and control system projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of LV Switchgear Panels and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE electrical standards, and project quality requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, submittals, method statements, and project docs.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and commercial teams to support project needs.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, operation plans, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records and use ERP/CRM for reporting.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operation Engineer - Industrial Automation & Controls (LV Switchgear Division) to strengthen our growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in LV Switchgear, Industrial Automation, Control Systems, and Business Development within the UAE/GCC market, along with a strong network of industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of electrical, automation, and control system projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for LV Switchgear Panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Control Panels, Automation Systems, Drives, PLCs, and related electrical systems.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE electrical standards, and project quality requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure project completion within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and commercial departments to support project requirements and resource planning.
• Conduct site inspections, system testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, operation plans, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records and utilize Microsoft Office applications and ERP/CRM systems for reporting and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in operations, project execution, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems within the UAE/GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of LV Switchgear, MCC Panels, Control Panels, Industrial Automation Systems, PLCs, VFDs/Drives, and Electrical Distribution Systems.
• Sound understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Experience in project coordination, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and operational management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ERP/Project Management systems.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
