Job summary

Petrocoat Technical Services LLC in the UAE is seeking an experienced Operation Engineer – Industrial Automation & Controls (LV Switchgear Division) to lead daily electrical and automation project activities. The role demands deep knowledge of LV switchgear, control panels, PLCs, drives, and related systems, with strong coordination across clients, consultants, and contractors.

The successful candidate will have a Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer certification, 5–7 years in UAE/GCC projects,

Qualifications

• Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer certification is mandatory.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical & Electronics).
• 5-7 years of proven experience in operations, project execution, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems within the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of LV Switchgear, MCC Panels, Control Panels, Industrial Automation Systems, PLCs, VFDs/Drives, and Electrical Distribution Systems.
• Sound understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Experience in project coordination, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and operational management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ERP/Project Management systems.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of electrical, automation, and control system projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for LV Switchgear Panels, MCC, Control Panels, Automation Systems, Drives, PLCs, and related electrical systems.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE electrical standards, and project quality requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure project completion within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and commercial departments to support project requirements and resource planning.
• Conduct site inspections, system testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, operation plans, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records and utilize Microsoft Office applications and ERP/CRM systems for reporting and documentation.
