Job description

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct site inspections for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, and ELV systems.
• Verify that all materials and equipment delivered to the site comply with approved submittals and project specifications.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and ensure all inspections are properly documented.
• Review contractors' method statements, inspection requests, and material submissions related to electrical works.
• Identify non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, MEP Engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate site inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.
• Ensure all electrical works are executed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and report any delays or quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical inspection and site supervision.
• Experience in residential, mixed-use, or commercial building projects in the UAE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, local authority regulations, and electrical installation practices.
• Familiarity with DEWA, ADDC/AADC, Civil Defence, and other relevant UAE authority requirements is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
