Job summary

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector with site supervision experience to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will oversee electrical installations, ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations and international safety standards, and maintain thorough inspection documentation.

You will supervise contractors on-site, review drawings, perform testing, report findings, and coordinate with project teams to keep works progressing on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical inspection and site supervision.
• Thorough understanding of Abu Dhabi and UAE electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven ability to supervise teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in report writing and technical documentation.
• Valid electrical inspection license or UAE-recognized certification.
• Experience with CAD software or electrical design programs.
• Experience on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment at construction sites to verify compliance with Abu Dhabi electrical regulations and international standards
• Supervise electrical contractors and workers on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications
• Analyze electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure proper implementation
• Perform electrical testing using specialized equipment and document all test results and findings in detailed inspection reports
• Identify code violations, safety hazards, and deficiencies, and communicate corrective actions to relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project progression
• Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results, certifications, and compliance documentation
• Provide professional recommendations for electrical system improvements and safety enhancements
• Ensure all electrical work meets local regulations, including ADWEA and EWEC standards
• Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally to project teams and management
