Job summary

Wood in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Rotational Support / Remote Electrical Engineer to join its UAE business unit. This full-time role provides EE expertise to site-based teams, performing analyses and supporting MoCs, EQs and hazard assessments to ensure equipment strategies align with technical intent.

• Substantial experience and technical understanding of electrical equipment in oil & gas facilities.
• Knowledge of governing codes, industry standards and local regulations relevant to electrical engineering.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides EE expertise to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Provides EE expertise to hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
• Provides EE expertise in performing incident investigations and defect assessments.
• Ensures that the inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks are aligned with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies.
• Develops and updates the technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback and performs periodical review of planned inspection & maintenance effectiveness.
• Perform reliability analysis for electrical equipment using surveillance, maintenance and condition monitoring data, and trends performance metrics.
• Provides EE expertise to delivery of Kirkuk actions. Leads on resolution of complex, multi-discipline technical issues where the dominant component is electrical engineering.
• Write, review, recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Provides EE coaching to Client engineers.
• Generates, revises, reviews discipline Technical Documentation

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional accreditation – Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.

Experience and Job Requirements
