Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) seeks an Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical works across Abu Dhabi’s landscaping, infrastructure, and contracting projects. The role ensures installations meet TAQA standards, project specs, quality requirements, and schedules while coordinating with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors.

You will supervise on-site activities, review drawings, perform load calculations, and ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional registration or licenses are advantageous.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in the Abu Dhabi region is required.
• Experience with contracting, landscaping, infrastructure and site execution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with project specs, drawings, and regulations.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy before execution.
• Perform electrical load calculations and verify system designs per project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure all installations comply with TAQA standards and Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Monitor site activities, identify issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Inspect completed works and ensure QA/QC before handover.
• Prepare material requests, technical submittals, method statements and progress reports.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and final inspections of electrical systems.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and maintain a safe on-site environment.
• Monitor project progress and support timely completion within budget and schedule.

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to oversee and coordinate electrical works for landscaping, infrastructure, and contracting projects across Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations are executed in compliance with project specifications, TAQA standards, quality requirements, and project schedules while coordinating effectively with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable regulations.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy before execution.
• Perform electrical load calculations and verify system designs in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with TAQA standards and Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements.
• Monitor site activities, identify technical issues, and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Inspect completed works and ensure quality standards are achieved before handover.
• Prepare material requests, technical submittals, method statements, and progress reports.

Qualifications

Experience

• Proven experience in contracting, landscaping, infrastructure, and site execution projects.
• Experience working with utility authorities and consultant approvals within Abu Dhabi is preferred.
