Job summary

Caliberly® is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for our Dubai-based team. The role focuses on power generation or industrial systems, with hands-on LV/MV design, installation and commissioning exposure.

You will develop electrical calculations, diagrams and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant drawings and documentation for energised projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical engineering for power generation or industrial plants.
• Hands-on LV/MV electrical installation and commissioning exposure.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, protection, earthing and electrical equipment specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify electrical calculations, load lists and energy balances.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, earthing and lightning protection designs.
• Specify generators, transformers, LV/MV switchgear, protection systems and UPS equipment.
• Perform short-circuit, voltage-drop and protection coordination studies.
• Support energy metering, hazardous-area electrical design, installation and commissioning.
• Prepare accurate, issue-ready electrical drawings and technical documentation.

We’re Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer – Power and Industrial Systems

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting To: Chief Systems Architect

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in power generation or industrial plant engineering to join an innovative engineering team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and verify electrical calculations, load lists and energy balances.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, earthing and lightning protection designs.
• Specify generators, transformers, LV/MV switchgear, protection systems and UPS equipment.
• Perform short-circuit, voltage-drop and protection coordination studies.
• Support energy metering, hazardous-area electrical design, installation and commissioning.
• Prepare accurate, issue-ready electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within power generation or industrial plants.
• Practical LV/MV electrical engineering experience, including hands-on installation and commissioning exposure.
• Strong knowledge of cable sizing, protection systems, earthing and electrical equipment specification.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM, Amtech or equivalent tools.
• Candidates should be comfortable independently developing engineering calculations and drawings and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
