• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing, ELV interfaces.
• Experience leading large site teams and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Familiar with UAE/GCC inspection and energization processes.
• Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE practices for electrical works.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead site execution of electrical and ELV works, ensuring installation productivity, quality, safety, coordination, testing and timely completion in line with project programme and approved technical documents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and control electrical construction activities against approved drawings, method statements, programme and area handover priorities.


• Prepare look-ahead plans, manpower forecasts and work-front priorities and verify material, access, permits and preceding works are ready before deployment.


• Supervise engineers, supervisors, foremen and subcontractors and manage productivity for containment, cabling, panels, lighting, power, earthing and associated systems.


• Ensure electrical installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, codes, authority requirements and manufacturer instructions.


• Coordinate electrical/ELV works with mechanical, architectural, structural, ceiling, façade and specialist systems to avoid clashes and rework.


• Review technical constraints with engineering/BIM teams and drive timely closure of RFIs, coordination issues and approved site changes.


• Work with QA/QC on inspections, cable tests, insulation/continuity tests, panel checks and other ITP requirements; close NCRs and snags without delay.


• Enforce HSE requirements, electrical safety controls, RAMS, permits and safe energization procedures.


• Monitor material usage, wastage, subcontractor performance and achieved quantities and provide accurate progress information to planning/commercial teams.


• Coordinate testing, energization, functional testing, authority inspections and commissioning with vendors and commissioning teams.


• Report progress, constraints, resource needs and recovery measures to the MEP Project Manager.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification.


• Minimum 15 years of relevant electrical construction experience on major MEP/building projects.


• Strong hands-on knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing, lightning protection and ELV interfaces.


• Proven experience managing large site teams and specialist subcontractors across multiple work fronts.


• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection plans and testing requirements.


• UAE/GCC experience and familiarity with authority inspection/energization processes are strongly preferred.


• Good knowledge of HSE, QA/QC and commissioning practices for electrical works.


• Strong leadership, planning, reporting and problem-solving capability.
