Job summary

Base Career is looking for an Electrical Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage electrical works for projects in Dubai. You will ensure installations are safe, efficient, and compliant with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, schedules, and UAE regulations.

Key duties include reviewing electrical/ELV/MEP drawings, coordinating with civil, mechanical, architectural, and fire & safety teams, preparing shop drawings and method statements, and supervising installation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum X years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• UAE construction/project experience is preferred.
• Experience in fire alarm, emergency lighting, ELV, or building services is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical installation and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and applicable standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate electrical works at project sites.
• Review electrical, ELV, fire alarm, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, architectural, and fire & safety teams.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Monitor installation of fire alarm, emergency lighting, exit lighting, and related systems where applicable.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure electrical activities meet project schedules.
• Check materials, quantities, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Prepare inspection requests, site reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Identify technical issues and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and maintain proper records.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, material estimates, quotations, and project requirements.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable UAE standards and authority requirements.
• Support maintenance, AMC, rectification, and troubleshooting works when required.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.
