Job summary

Serco in the UAE is seeking an Electric Buggy Operator to transport guests safely across the property while delivering warm hospitality. You will report to the Operations Service Team Leader and work in a 24/7 shift pattern, upholding safety and service standards.

Fluent English is required, with Arabic or additional languages a plus. A UAE driving license is essential, and a high school diploma is expected; hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in customer service, hospitality, or aviation.
• Experience in high-volume hospitality, leisure, retail, or customer service environments preferred.
• Proven track record delivering exceptional service.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs related to service quality and customer satisfaction.

Your Opportunity

Electric Buggy Operator is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality passenger transportation services while acting as a visible ambassador of hospitality. The operator must demonstrate exceptional care, professionalism, and cultural awareness, ensuring every passenger interaction is respectful and welcoming.

This individual will report to an identified Operations Service Team Leader, with an on-duty reporting line to Serco's on-duty zonal Operations Service Team Leader.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely transport guests across the property in full compliance with all safety procedures and service standards.
• Adhere strictly to designated routes, speed limits, and operational guidelines
• Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure buggy readiness and safety.
• Ensure careful and defensive driving at all times, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort
• Provide a warm, welcoming, and respectful experience, reflecting high standard of hospitality.
• Engage passengers with a positive attitude, smile, and proactive assistance
• Support all passenger categories such as Elderly, PRM, Children, etc.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability when assisting guests with diverse needs
• Maintain high visibility and approachability within assigned areas
• Identify passengers in need of assistance proactively rather than waiting for requests
• Comply with all operational procedures, safety regulations, and service standards
• Maintain discipline and adherence to operational instructions at all times
• Reporting faults to the Operations Service Team Leader advised
• Report any unattended or suspicious items in accordance with company procedures and keep the supervisor informed
• To work within shift rota to cover 7 day/week 24 hours/day including statutory holiday periods
• Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment
• Promotes a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties
• To exercise a personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions
• Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
• Minimum 2 years in customer service, hospitality, or aviation
• Experience working in high-volume hospitality, leisure, retail, or customer service environments is preferred
• Proven track record in delivering exceptional service
• Proven ability to meet KPIs related to service quality and customer satisfaction

Specific Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Hospitality or customer service certification is an advantage
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic or additional languages highly preferred
• Driving license from UAE or home country
