Job summary

Amity International School in Abu Dhabi is seeking an EAL Coordinator to lead the schoolwide EAL strategy, identify multilingual learners, and oversee targeted interventions. The postholder will support classroom teachers with adaptive teaching, deliver CPD on EAL pedagogy, monitor progress, liaise with parents and external stakeholders, and maintain records per ADEK requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a British curriculum school.
• Proven experience leading interventions or coordinating educational provision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with CPD delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the school's EAL strategy and tracking of multilingual learners.
• Deliver targeted EAL support and help adapt curriculum content for inclusion.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and report termly with the Inclusion team.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team, Phase Leaders, and families; provide CPD.
