Job summary

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, seeks a qualified on-site QC inspector in Abu Dhabi. You will organize and execute inspection jobs, perform visual tests, verify documentation, and ensure conformity with the Inspection Test Plan on oil and gas projects.

With a Diploma/Degree in Engineering and 6+ years of onshore oil and gas construction QC experience, you will review procedures, check equipment, and support non-conformance reporting as required,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction QC.
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes used in QC surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute inspection jobs on site with professionalism.
• Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and construction activities.
• Issue quality records and escalate non-conformances as needed.
• Verify conformity with the Quality Control Plan and manage related documents.
• Ensure proper implementation of the Inspection Test Plan.
• Check workers’ qualifications for relevant processes.
• Inspect power transformers, switchgear, instruments, cables and related components.
• Carry out visual inspections and dimensional checks.

Job Description

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Check power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional test, check rating and material for connection.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Previous Saudi Aramco / ADNOC / Any client approvals Preferable but not mandatory
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in onshore fabrication/ Construction/ EPC projects.
