Job summary

SGS is the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company. We are seeking an E&I Quality Control Inspector (QCI) for onshore oil & gas projects in the UAE to organize and execute inspections on site.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Engineering and 6+ years of oil & gas construction experience, with familiarity with QC surveillance standards and the ability to verify test records; Saudi Aramco/ADNOC experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes for QC surveillance in onshore fabrication/construction/EPC projects.
• Saudi Aramco/ADNOC or client approvals preferable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue Quality Records and, when necessary, send non-conformance reports to the QC Supervisor.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan and manage documentation of tests/controls/inspections.
• Ensure correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and workers’ qualifications.
• Inspect power transformers, switchgear, batteries, sockets, lighting, RTUs, instruments, cables, and related items.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, rating checks, and material verifications for connections.

• Executethe specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issuethe relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writeand sendto QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Checkpower transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Performvisual inspections, dimensional test, checkrating and material for connection.
