Job summary

Orbit International Survey Services LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to perform inspection, testing, and QA/QC activities in line with approved drawings, ITPs, and client requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering, and a minimum of 5 years’ E&I inspection/QA-QC experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or EPC projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&I inspection/QA-QC experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, Petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, calibration, loop checking, commissioning, P&IDs, and E&I drawings.
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, ISA, NEMA, and project-specific standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) installation per drawings, ITPs, and standards.
• Inspect LV/MV equipment, MCCs, transformers, motors, panels, UPS, lighting, and instrument systems.
• Verify instrumentation installation against P&IDs, datasheets, loop drawings, and specs.
• Witness instrument calibration, loop checking, point-to-point, continuity, and functional testing.

Orbit ISS is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to perform E&I inspection, testing, and QA/QC activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) installation in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and applicable standards.
  
• Inspect LV/MV equipment, MCCs, transformers, motors, panels, UPS, lighting, junction boxes, and associated electrical systems.
  
• Inspect field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments, control valves, on/off valves, analyzers, and switches.
  
• Inspect instrument tubing, impulse lines, manifolds, supports, junction boxes, and instrument cabling.
  
• Verify instrumentation installation against P&IDs, instrument datasheets, loop drawings, hook-up drawings, and specifications.
  
• Witness instrument calibration, loop checking, point-to-point, continuity, and functional testing.
  
• Inspect cable tray/ladder installation, cable pulling, routing, glanding, termination, identification, and segregation.
  
• Verify earthing, grounding, bonding, and instrument shielding.
  
• Prepare and maintain ITRs, RFIs, calibration records, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
  
• Conduct inspections with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors and follow up on corrective actions.
  
• Support Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Loop Checking, and System Handover activities.
