Job summary

Client of Redfish Solutions is seeking an E & I QC Engineer to perform daily quality control inspections and field testing on electrical and instrumentation construction activities. This role ensures that ongoing site work strictly matches approved drawings project specifications and international safety codes.

The E & I QC Engineer is responsible for raising inspection requests flagging field defects early and compiling the project s daily quality documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field inspections and tests of E&I installations.
  • Prepare, submit and clear RFIs with inspectors and third parties.
  • Verify materials against submittals and MTCs to prevent wrong items.
  • Identify installation defects, notify teams, and assist in corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality logs, inspection reports, calibration records, and test packages.
  • Review drawings, P&IDs, wiring schematics and loop diagrams for site execution.
  • Support project quality plans, ITTs, and quality procedures for E&I works.
  • Identify, log and investigate non-conformances and track corrective actions.

Job Summary

The E & I QC Engineer performs daily quality control inspections and field testing for all electrical and instrumentation construction activities. This role ensures that ongoing site work strictly matches approved drawings project specifications and international safety codes. The E & I QC Engineer is responsible for raising inspection requests flagging field defects early and compiling the project s daily quality documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Field Inspection & Testing
    • Perform daily physical inspections of E & I installations.
    • Witness and record tests including cable pulling, megger testing, continuity checks, instrument calibration, loop checks and grounding systems.
  • Inspection Requests & RFIs
    • Prepare, submit and clear Requests for Inspection (RFIs) with client inspectors and third-party agencies in a timely manner.
  • Material Verification
    • Inspect arriving E & I materials and equipment at the site store.
    • Verify items against approved material submittals data sheets and mill test certificates (MTC) to prevent the use of incorrect materials.
  • Defect Identification
    • Monitor daily workmanship.
    • Identify installation defects or deviations from drawings early.
    • Notify the construction team immediately and assist in drafting corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Records
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date quality logs inspection reports and calibration records.
    • Assemble progressive test packages and punch lists for submittal.
    • Compile, review and approve final quality dossiers final test packages and as-built drawings for client handover.
  • Drawing Review
    • Review and interpret installation drawings, P&IDs wiring schematics hook‑up drawings and loop diagrams to verify correct site execution.
  • Quality Management & Planning
    • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan.
    • Review and update Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) method statements and quality procedures for E & I works.
  • Non-Conformance Management
    • Identify, log and investigate technical non-conformances.
    • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) track root‑cause analyses and verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Education
  • Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QC Inspector/Engineer in industrial construction projects (e.g., Oil & Gas, infrastructure, modular buildings, or manufacturing).
Technical Knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of standard electrical and instrumentation practices, along with familiarity with basic international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
  • Experience working on large-scale EPC projects, showcasing familiarity with diverse systems and component.
Additional Requirements
  • Should have Valid UAE driving Licence.
  • Should have Own Vehicle.
