Job summary

Accor is seeking a Duty Engineer to monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within a hotel setting in the UAE. You will troubleshoot faults, conduct preventive maintenance, and respond quickly to emergencies to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires handling maintenance records, coordinating with departments, and ensuring safety compliance. You will support installation and testing of new equipment while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• HVAC and electrical safety certifications beneficial.
• Proven maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies calmly.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Computer literacy and maintenance logging systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain M&E and HVAC systems for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot faults and resolve equipment failures promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
• Respond to emergencies following established protocols.
• Keep detailed records of equipment status, maintenance work and incidents.
• Coordinate with other departments to address operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
