talabat is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple software engineering squads in Dubai, UAE. You will shape the technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and ensure delivery excellence while mentoring engineers and promoting XP practices across teams.

You will collaborate with Product, Design and business stakeholders to translate objectives into scalable solutions, developing leaders and maintaining high engineering standards for reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
At least 4 years of practical technical leadership experience.
Experience hiring, mentoring and developing software engineers.
Proven architectural and technical decision-making skills.
Experience collaborating with Product, Design, business and engineering stakeholders.

Responsabilités

Lead multiple engineering squads (≈20 engineers across four teams).
Define and communicate a 12–18 month technical vision for your domain.
Drive architectural decisions, scalability, reliability and security.
Mentor and develop engineers and emerging technical leaders.
Promote XP practices including TDD, pair programming and trunk-based development.
Align technical roadmap with product goals and business value.
