Position Overview talabat is hiring an Engineering Manager - Software Platforms in Dubai, UAE to lead an empowered engineering team responsible for discovering, building, deploying, and owning complex software solutions. Working closely with Product, Design, and Data counterparts, the Engineering Manager will connect customer and business needs with technical strategy while developing engineering talent and guiding reliable delivery. The role combines people leadership, product thinking, distributed systems expertise, and engineering practices including Extreme Programming, Lean, Domain-Driven Design, and Continuous Delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understand customer needs, business objectives, problems, and desired outcomes with cross-functional counterparts.
• Translate those needs into an actionable engineering strategy.
