Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai seeks a meticulous Bookstore Coordinator - Inventory Control to ensure textbooks, uniforms, stationery are available and accurately tracked. You will manage daily operations, supervise stock records and coordinate procurement while supporting KHDA compliance.

Ideal candidates have experience in bookstore/inventory, strong numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel.

Qualifications

Practical experience in a bookstore, warehouse, stockroom, retail store or inventory control environment.
Good knowledge of stock handling, inventory reconciliation and store operating procedures.
Experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
High numerical accuracy with careful attention to transaction and stock details.

Responsibilities

Manage daily bookstore operations and maintain an efficient, organised and customer-focused service environment.
Record all stock receipts, sales, returns, transfers, adjustments and issuances in approved GEMS systems.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate textbook, uniform and stationery orders according to curriculum and operational requirements.
Conduct regular stock counts and compare physical quantities with system balances.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify causes and complete the required supporting documentation.
