Job summary

LEAMS Education in Dubai seeks an Estimation Engineer for Fire Safety Systems to prepare technical and commercial estimates for alarm, firefighting and life-safety systems. You will review drawings, BOQs, and UAE regulations to deliver accurate, competitive proposals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in fire/life safety estimation, with strong Excel and AutoCAD skills. Immediate availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and relevant certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fire and life safety estimation.
• Experience estimating fire alarm, firefighting, and related systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and bills of quantities.
• Knowledge of UAE fire codes and Civil Defence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specs and quantities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for life safety systems.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop bills of materials from drawings and specs.
• Obtain supplier quotations and compare offers.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals on deadlines.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and exclusions before final estimates.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement and project teams.
• Review layouts and equipment schedules for compliance.
• Maintain records and cost databases; support tender clarifications.
