techcarrot FZ in Dubai is actively seeking a Solution Architect to design and govern technology solutions across its Financial Services and Mobility businesses. The role splits 50/50 between payments, lending & cards and digital architecture, including microservices, APIs and frontend/BFF patterns.

The candidate will lead end-to-end architecture, drive roadmaps, ensure PCI DSS and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Product, Risk and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a solution architecture role.
• Architecture experience in payments, cards or lending: gateways, issuing, processing, BNPL or consumer lending.
• Experience with digital platforms: microservices, frontend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.
• Hands-on experience integrating third-party platforms via SDKs and APIs.
• Experience with API management, event-driven integration and enterprise middleware.
• Cloud platforms experience (Azure) and familiarity with AI/Gen AI technologies.
• Preferred certifications: TOGAF and CBA.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for payments, lending and card products across origination, decisioning, servicing and settlement.
• Design payment acceptance and orchestration across in-store and online channels with gateways, PSPs and tokenisation.
• Define tokenisation and card-data security patterns to minimise PCI DSS scope.
• Design card issuing and processing integrations with issuer platforms and schema connectivity.
• Shape the organisation's approach to agentic payments and AI-enabled transactions.
• Own integration of lending and payment platforms with credit bureau, KYC/AML, direct debit and GL systems.
• Define target digital architecture for websites, mobile apps and merchant portals using microservices and BFF patterns.
• Design API-first, event-driven services with gateway management, versioning, security and observability.
• Architect integrations of sales, CRM, marketing automation and analytics tools via vendor SDKs and APIs.
• Set frontend standards (headless CMS, performance, accessibility, SEO, A/B testing, personalization).
• Define cloud-native deployment patterns on Azure with DevOps, CI/CD and monitoring.
• Maintain Level 1 Business Capability Architecture and map to applications, owners and gaps.
• Produce As-Is / Transition / Target architecture views and prioritised roadmaps.
• Present findings to senior leadership in business terms.
• Drive governance and enforce architectural principles and standards.
• Ensure security, data protection and regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, UAE rules) are built into designs.
• Identify AI and Gen AI opportunities across payments and customer engagement.
