Job summary

LEAMS Education in Dubai invites applications for the FS and KG Teacher - Early Years. You will plan play-based lessons, develop early literacy and numeracy, and support children's social, emotional, and physical development.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a relevant subject.
Bachelor of Education qualification is mandatory.
Academic certificates must be attested for use in the United Arab Emirates.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Foundation Stage, Kindergarten, nursery, or early childhood teaching.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.
British curriculum teaching experience is advantageous.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Understanding of child development, play-based learning, observation, and formative assessment.
Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate classroom activities.
Strong classroom organization and positive behaviour management skills.
Patient, caring, enthusiastic, and responsive approach to young learners.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, student wellbeing, and early childhood safety requirements.
Immediate availability is required.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Foundation Stage and Kindergarten lessons aligned with the EYFS Curriculum.
Create age-appropriate learning experiences through structured play, exploration, storytelling, music, movement, and practical activities.
Develop weekly and termly plans based on curriculum objectives and student development needs.
Establish a warm, inclusive, secure, and stimulating early years classroom.
Support children’s communication, language, literacy, numeracy, social, emotional, physical, and creative development.
Prepare classroom displays, learning centres, teaching resources, and activity materials.
Observe children regularly and document their learning, behaviour, interests, and developmental progress.
Use observations and assessment information to plan suitable next steps for each child.
Differentiated activities for learners with varied abilities, backgrounds, and support requirements.
Identify children who may require additional academic, behavioural, or developmental assistance.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, inclusion teams, coordinators, and school leaders.
Maintain consistent classroom routines and encourage positive behaviour, independence, and cooperation.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, wellbeing, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Prepare progress reports, portfolios, assessment records, and parent meeting updates.
Follow safeguarding, child protection, health, safety, hygiene, and supervision procedures.
Support student transitions between home, Foundation Stage, Kindergarten, and primary school.
Participate in assemblies, celebrations, educational visits, school events, and extracurricular activities.
Attend staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions, training, and professional development programmes.
Use educational technology and interactive resources appropriately in early years teaching.
Complete other reasonable teaching and pastoral duties assigned by school leadership.
