Job summary

PPOAR in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team. The role centers on accurate cash register operations and delivering friendly customer service to shoppers in a busy store environment.

We value reliability, basic math skills, and the ability to communicate with customers in English. Immigrant applicants are welcome, and on-the-job training is provided. This is a full-time position in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training can be provided.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in English or other languages if necessary.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and move around the store quickly as needed without assistance.
• Proficient math skills with a high level of accuracy when dealing with money transactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate cash register operations, including processing payments, verifying change funds, counting total deposits, and maintaining receipts and records of transactions.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers politely, answering questions, providing product information, making suggestions, responding to complaints, and thanking customers for their business.
• Assist in stocking shelves or arranging products according to established guidelines or procedural instructions.
• Ensure a neat and clean work area by regularly sweeping the floors and wiping down counters or shelves.
