Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role.
• Excellent math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with any inquiries.
• Scan and process items accurately using the POS system.
• Accept payments from customers in various forms (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers).
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, promotions, and policies.
• Upsell products or services when appropriate.
• Keep track of inventory levels and inform management of low stock items.
