Job summary

Equiti, a pioneering fintech, is seeking a Senior Legal Associate for its Dubai office to advise on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across the business.

You will draft, review and negotiate agreements, support licensing, governance, investigations and cross-border transactions, and collaborate with external counsel. Qualified lawyers with 3-5 years PQE and bilingual Arabic-English professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years PQE.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Experience at an international or top-tier law firm.

Responsibilities

• Advising on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across the business.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial, corporate, financial services, technology and other agreements, policies and regulatory filings.
• Supporting licensing, regulatory compliance, governance matters, regulatory investigations and engagement with regulators.
• Assisting with mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation.
• Providing legal support on fund management and investment structures, including mutual funds and protected cell funds.
• Advising on payment services, PSP matters and fintech.
• Supporting pre-litigation matters, client disputes of a technical nature and regulatory investigations.
• Advising on employment and labor law matters, including contracts, policies and workforce issues.
• Supporting intellectual property protection, brand management and related commercial agreements.
• Advising on corporate governance and other general legal matters.
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and advising stakeholders on their impact on the business.
• Collaborating with external counsel, managing outside legal spend and supporting the wider legal team on cross-border matters and projects.
