Job summary
MM Management Consultant in Dubai seeks an experienced Estimation Engineer for piping fabrication. You will translate drawings into accurate project costs, evaluating materials, fabrication, welding, and related processes to support the Sales team during negotiations.
Ideal candidate has 5–8 years in piping fabrication estimation, strong knowledge of CS/SS/alloy piping, and proficiency in reading Isometrics, P&IDs and GA drawings, with ASME/ASTM/API standards familiarity.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in piping fabrication estimation and costing
- Mechanical/Production Engineering or Diploma
- Strong knowledge of CS, SS & Alloy Steel piping
- Good understanding of welding, NDT, inspection & testing
- Ability to read Isometrics, P&IDs & GA drawings
- Knowledge of ASME / ASTM / API standards
- Strong Excel & ERP skills
- Oil & Gas / EPC / Petrochemical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Material Take-Offs from Isometrics, P&IDs & GA drawings
- Costing for piping materials, fabrication & welding
- Man-hours, production & machine requirements
- NDT, PMI, hydrotesting, painting & coating costs
- Vendor/subcontractor quotation evaluation
- Technical & commercial quotations
- Risk, margin & cost analysis
- Supporting sales during customer negotiations
