Job summary

Aventus, a Dubai-based recruitment business, seeks a hands-on Head of Finance to lead the in-house finance function and partner with owners on performance visibility. You will manage a finance team, oversee contractor payroll, invoicing, and reporting across UAE and Saudi Arabia, while improving controls and data quality.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with leadership experience in recruitment or staffing.
• Experience with contract staffing finance in the Middle East.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to improve processes.
• Able to advise leadership on cash, margins and growth.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely management accounts, budgets and forecasts with clear profitability reporting by team and business line.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, client collections and rolling cash forecast.
• Oversee contractor finance cycle including timesheets, payroll, invoicing, funding and margin reconciliation.
• Ensure permanent placement fees and consultant commissions are recorded and reported accurately.
• Lead month-end processes, reconciliations, controls and audit preparation.
• Collaborate with external advisers on UAE and Saudi Arabia tax/compliance matters.
• Improve use of Xero, Bullhorn and reporting tools for data-driven decisions by leaders.
• Manage and develop the finance team as the business grows.
