Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for ETRM applications ensuring high availability.
• Maintain static/master data within the ETRM system including counterparties, products, pricing curves and locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETRM application issues reported by trading, operations, risk, finance and back office.
• Monitor performance and identify system issues and opportunities for improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT teams for incident resolution and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for users and management.
• Create data visualizations and KPIs to support trading, risk, operations and finance.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation and querying as needed.

Job Summary

ETRM Application & IT Support Analyst with 5-6 years of experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems and enterprise application support. The successful ETRM Application & IT Support Analyst will be responsible for providing functional and technical support for ETRM applications, managing static data, maintaining business-critical IT applications, developing or maintaining business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and creating insightful Power BI dashboards to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for ETRM applications, ensuring high availability and smooth business operations.
• Manage and maintain static/master data within the ETRM system, including counterparties, products, pricing curves, locations, and portfolios.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETRM application issues reported by Trading, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Back Office users.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify system issues and process improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors, business users, and IT teams for incident resolution, enhancements, and system upgrades.
• Develop and maintain business applications and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business users and management.
• Create data visualizations and KPIs to support trading, risk, operations, and finance functions.
• Perform database queries, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiencies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Overall, 5-6 years of professional experience in Information Technology, with a strong background in application support and business systems gained working for a commodity trading house or consultancy working on-site at commodity trading houses
• Experience working in a major commodity trading hub (London, Singapore, Geneva, Zurich, Houston or Dubai most likely), NOT in a support office. Please do not apply if you haven't worked for a commodity trading house in one of these locations
• 3 years of experience supporting ETRM/CTRM platforms in commodity, energy, oil & gas, or trading environments.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, deal capture, risk management, settlements, invoicing, and operational processes.
• Hands-on experience in static data management and ETRM system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Hands on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and KPI tracking solutions.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server, relational databases, database querying, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
