Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering including end-to-end production systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on people management and technical leadership.
• Generalist with cross-stack exposure and fast learning ability.
• AI-native approach with integration of AI tools into workflows.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the team's domain within talabat's architecture.
• Lead engineers who ship end to end with a focus on quality and speed.
• Guide discovery, planning and execution in small batches.
• Mentor and grow engineers to improve quarterly performance.
• Own non-functional aspects: availability, scalability, latency, monitoring.
