Job summary

Russell Bedford (Dubai) Limited is a Dubai DIFC-licensed auditing and accounting practice seeking an Audit Associate to join its team in the DIFC. The role focuses on external and internal audits within the financial services sector, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality audit work on time.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of external audit experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and solid analytical, numeric, and communication skills. UAE-based applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CA/ACCA/CPA qualification is a plus but not required.
• 1–2 years external audit experience in mid-tier or Big 4.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good knowledge of Excel; familiarity with audit software is a plus.

Audit Associate External & Internal Audit (Financial Services)

Job Description

• You will be expected to meet clients commitments on external and internal audit engagements by executing the audit and completing audit files within the specified timeframe of the engagement.
• Performing audit fieldwork, including sampling, testing and analysing financial data.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify potential risks or control gaps.
• Conduct substantive testing of transactions, accounts balances, and financial processes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed audit working papers in accordance with the firm's standards.
• Document audit findings and discuss preliminary issues with senior auditors.
• Support the preparation on auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry regulations.
• Participate in internal training programs and continuously develop technical skills.

These are the key skills which we're hoping you can tick:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification is nice to have but not required or has the willingness to pursue certification
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of external audit experience gained with a mid-tier or one of the Big 4 audit firms.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with audit software is a plus.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
