Job summary

DSV in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Driver, Light Vehicle - Warehousing 3PL to operate company owned or leased vehicles in compliance with HSE and UAE traffic rules. The role requires minimum 2 years of UAE driving experience and a valid UAE driving license, plus basic English communication.

You will conduct pre-trip inspections, manage loading/unloading in warehousing settings, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Matriculation or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience in UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Good knowledge of UAE traffic rules and road safety.

Responsibilities

• Operating Company Owned or Leased Vehicle in a responsible manner whilst in compliance with Health, Safety and Environment policies and UAE traffic rules.
• Carrying out daily inspection of equipment prior to usage to ensure safety and compliance with QHSE regulations.
• Reporting accidents or breakdowns immediately to the supervisor.
• Following supervisor instructions during loading and unloading of material while observing HSE policies.
• Ensuring traffic regulations are observed and penalties avoided.
• Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and reporting near misses.
• Ensuring packed food is securely delivered on time with minimal delays.
• Performing pre-journey vehicle inspections and ensuring appropriate temperatures for food transport.
• Assisting in emergencies for vehicle replacements when needed.
• Reporting HVAC/MHD issues to the HSE and Warehouse teams when temperature monitoring devices malfunction.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operating Company Owned or Leased Vehicle in a responsible manner whilst in compliance with the policies of the Health, Safety and Environment Department and UAE traffic rules.
• Carrying out daily inspection of equipment prior to usage to ensure that the equipment is safe to be operated and compliant to the required QHSE regulations and reporting any discrepancy to the supervisor immediately.
• Reporting accidents or break downs immediately to the supervisor.
• Following instructions from the supervisor during Loading and Downloading material whilst observing HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that the traffic regulations are strictly always observed while driving on the road and all penalties and fines on account of violation are avoided.
• Aadhering to all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and procedures. Taking initiatives for improvements and enhancement of safety, hygiene through near miss reporting and suggestions.
• Ensuring packed food is fully secured and is delivered on time with no delays as possible.
• Ensure proper inspections of vehicle are done before the start of the journey.
• Ensure temperatures are adequate for transportation of food products.
• Take part in emergencies for replacing vehicles during any kind of vehicle breakdowns in case if needed.
• Report HSE and Warehouse team in case of any malfunctioning of temperature monitoring device are observed.
• Performing any other duties/projects in line with person’s physical and mental abilities to carry out such task assigned by supervisor from time to time to meet business expectations.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education – Matriculation or Equivalent

Work Experience – Minimum 2 years of experience in driving in UAE
