Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics seeks a skilled driver to operate company vehicles in the UAE. You will ensure safe delivery, maintain vehicles, and keep accurate trip records.

The role requires at least 2 years of UAE driving experience and a valid UAE license, with strong knowledge of local road rules and safety standards. Fluency in day-to-day communication, good vision, and a safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience in UAE or GCC.
• Valid UAE driving license for the vehicle category (preferred).
• Good knowledge of UAE/GCC road regulations and safety standards.
• Good eyesight day and night.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles in compliance with traffic rules and ensure safe transportation.
• Maintain the vehicle and report complaints to the supervisor/workshop team.
• Prioritize deliveries and suggest improvements to daily routes.
• Report damages or excess/shortages during delivery.
• Handle customer complaints politely and raise non-conformances when needed.
• Complete trip sheets and hand over to supervisor after each shift.
• Submit delivery notes to OCC within 24 hours of delivery.
• Comply with HSE requirements and observe safety standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to drive the company vehicles in compliance with the traffic rules to ensure safe transportation, pickup, and accurate delivery of goods/items to the customers as per their schedule.

• Ensuring vehicle is maintained properly and complaints, if any, are reported immediately to the supervisor and the workshop team.
• Prioritizing deliveries and suggesting improvements to the daily route plans.
• Reporting damages, excess / shortages if any, during delivery.
• Handling customer complaints in a pleasant and non-confrontational manner and in the agreed method and raise non-conformances where necessary.
• Completing the trip sheets with all relevant information and handing it over to the supervisor towards the end of every shift.
• Submitting delivery notes to OCC within 24 hours on delivery.
• Complying with the HSE requirements.
• Supervising the distribution assistants and reporting any misconduct to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensuring that the traffic regulations are strictly always observed while driving on the road and all penalties and fines on account of violation are avoided.
• Performing any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
